Cebu Travel 2014
It’s always been a dream to travel the different islands of the Philippines. I want to explore and see the beauty our country has. When summer we (family) just usually go to the nearby resorts/beaches here in Metro, say, Laguna, Batangas, Zambales, Bataan etc. When I want to have adventure, I go with my friends if you know what I mean. Because they’re always game!
It was month of March when I booked our Cebu flight. Pops & brother wasn’t aware about my plan and got surprised when I told them that they need to free their schedules for 4 days on the 3rdweek of May. Ha! Ha! That time I didn’t know what our itinerary will be like, where we’ll stay and activities. I was tempted to just booked to some sort of agency tour for less hassle life, but NO! I thank myself that I held back and just did my own. I always tell my family & friends that I don’t like getting tours when visiting a new place; I don’t want to have that limited time and tour guides’ pressure. I want to relax while following my customized travel plan; it’s my vacation after all, right?
If you’re like me who wants to always customize their travel plan, well you have to research a lot. Patience is your best friend. I’ve read a lot of blogs about Cebu. Some would say, “Why Cebu?” because “Why Not?” Others told me that you could travel and explore Cebu in a day hmmm… but according to my references, you can’t. It has a lot of interesting and amazing municipalities that I wish I visited all during our stay there but I just couldn’t because of time constraint.
Here’s a photo summary of what we did in Cebu.
1. Oslob and Sumilon, Southern part of Cebu Province
2. Mövenpick Hotel in Mactan Staycation
3. Cebu City life and The Henry Hotel
After our trip, I realized that what we did was such a unique experience of the different accommodations when traveling. Ha!ha! In my own opinion let’s say from Oslob where we stayed in a pension house it’s relatively just a lodging place where you can just leave your things and go to the different tourist spots. When we returned to Mactan, we checked in a hotel where we can stay there overnight or even a couple of days because they’ve got everything a vacationer needs, from the perfect view, fantastic menus, to recreational activities. Lastly, our last stop was a boutique hotel in the city that’s totally different from the previous because of limited things you can do during your stay.
I’ll do separate posts for the 3 items I’ve mentioned above soon! :) This is such a lengthy post. Ha! Ha!

What’s In a Bag of a Commoner?
This post has been sleeping in my Drafts since April. I totally forgot I have this! I came up with this because I was inspired by my hectic and overlapping schedules the past months when I was still working Mon-Sat and sometimes even on Sundays because of events. Why share what’s inside a commoner’s bag? Because WHY NOT. 😁
Every so often I just get my big bag and just put all the things (literally) I need and voila! I’m ready to go. When I’m on a rush, which became a normal thing for me I just go out of the house with bare face and actually that’s absolutely not me before I started working. When I was in college, I can’t leave without fixing my eyebrows and getting my eyes concealed. Ha! Ha!
